A poet's heart

A poet's heart

A Poem by bee
"

What is in a poet's heart. Or at least mine

"

Maybe all poets’ hearts are heavy

from staring too long into the sun

wondering how it sets in the evening

This is quite true for me. I thought I'm the only one who writes poem containing only one stanza (that's why I didn't post some of my poems 😂), but now I know I'm not the only one. By the way, I love this one!

A moment well-captured.
Wonderment is a sharp arrow in the poet's quiver.
Enjoyed the read, Bee!

I think you’re so right. For me it’s the moon. I watch her and try to make her stay as long as possible...the heavy heart though...I feel it. Such a thoughtful poem.

Thank you so much for your kind review, Nicole
A nice little piece of brevity to ponder on bee. I would say there are many chambers in a poet's heart. Heavy sometimes, but there is so much more.

Thank you so much for your kind words!
At times poet's hearts are heavy and they write introspective poems that touch the psyche ... other times the heart grows light and the poems tend to reflect the happiness within ... but staring into the sun may help to understand the relentless quest to understand.

a good write, bee.

Take care ... be safe

Thank you for your thoughts and kind words, Ted.
dear Bee... the Poets heart is light as a feather in sunny weather; however... when Ill winds blow and storms destroy homes and trees... the birds have a heavy heart and need us to leave Seed to nourish and provide the Will to presevere. truly, Pat
