Temptations of Deployed Drama

Temptations of Deployed Drama

A Poem by disconnectedspirit

Invited to a great play or production of peoples lives hidden in masks that are revealing to me.

Adorned behind masks of either shimmering black or golden with Gems,

One or the other,

Depending on which character or feeling you are absorbing,

The Drama portrays parts in our lives to watch and view as an audience,

Without shame of discoveries and to conquer the shade within,

We all endure human trials or tribulations of the spirit,

I speak openly of my pain and successes without a costume,

I am merely a spectator watching an unfolding story,

The temptation to know a soul from within draws me to this production,

A deployed drama not by my hands since I wear no mask in this story,

Always foretelling in what treasures I find,

Revealing the nature of man inside,

The temptation is to strong to remain.

**please note it was not the lady involved within this drama that got me interested in poetry, I wrote them as a young girl without structure or learning. It was the man involved that got me interested, when I read poems he wrote for me.
