Dear

Dear

A Poem by Akroma

Hello, my Dear,

We've come again to the place it all began.
Nothing changed and nothing stayed the same.
We're different people with familiar names.

We once stained slippery shoulders with our tears.
Listened, and shared all our insights and fears.
Sad to know we were babbling to ourselves
the old stories no one cares about.

I complain about the flaws we found,
but still pack them up, and god damn,
I'll never forget to carry them around.
