Get over it, she’s gone! 

She ran off with that dude. You know what you need!?

You need a new girlfriend, is what you need.

 

Yea, so easy for you to say . . .

It’s only been 18 heart-minutes for me.

I don't need a new girlfriend . . . 

I need a new watch.

Love this dialogue piece of freeverse that takes us on a familiar journey as a pal tries to bolster a jilted friend. The satire at the end is sublime. Hope it was a TAG watch!
