I baked you a pie, and you spat on it.A Poem by adichieJust working out some stuff in the title, and something unrelated in the write itself.Walking down the sidewalk with you suddenly nothing but a rush of air beside me. fast-acting quicksand, I realize. I walk back. I dive in. Walking down the sidewalk with you you disappear into the quicksand. you take me with you. my fingers find the edge of the pavement. I climb my way out. Walking down the sidewalk with you nothing but a rush of air beside me. your hand grasps my ankle tearing me away from the sunshine. my heel breaks your hand. I never go in. © 2019 adichieAuthor's Note
