Black Dog and White Dog

Black Dog and White Dog

A Poem by stargirl23

Black Dog, tennis ball in his mouth, sniffing the grass.

White Dog, she was smaller, sniffing the grass.

Black Dog, he took a break and noticed White Dog"

Sprinted across the street, he just wanted to play.

White Dog sprinted too, but away from Black Dog.

Black Dog trotted after, tennis ball in his mouth.

White Dog barked"but she was fine with other dogs.

Black Dog still pursued, he just wanted to play.

Black Dog had to go back, his masters were calling him.

White Dog went back to sniffing her fresh grass,

And Black Dog sniffed his yellow grass, tennis ball forgotten.

He just wanted to play.

Adi, Anyone who writes about pets in a loving manner is a champion in my eyes. Very clever premise and writing, a nice little story. Nicely done! take care...dan
