Small Fishes

Small Fishes

A Poem by Aekmy
"

When you rest your eyes, I hope I’m dancing in the darkness.

"

Now that you’re gone, I’m feeling alone,

but then I remember the sweet salt in my ears.

It doesn’t condone the end of our song.

While you’re away, I’ll try to keep singing on the bay.

When you rest your eyes, I hope I’m dancing in the darkness behind the black skies.

Could light carry me on the wind and still survive a tragic, tragic end? Will we weep together, pull out a pen and feather,

write to the doctor as we sew my wounds

together?

Hope will prevail and I’ll be the mermaid’s tale a fisherman’s eye catches in a glimpse.

Am I your treasure or just pressured cargo?

There is beauty is uniqueness. Embrace the strange or perish in the ordinary.
