Dressed In Black

Dressed In Black

A Poem by Gonce

I have spent most of my life
with that man,that friend.
I seen him laugh, seen him
cry, seen him angry.
Seen him as a child,
seen him as a fool,
seen him as a hero.
One day I will watch his
wedding, beatiful it will be,
dressed in black.
and one day I will visit his house
with his children and mortgage
and two car garage.
One day I will stand above his
grave, stare past the flowers blowing
in the wind, stare through the
grass, dressed in black.
