Ode to a lost Anklet

Ode to a lost Anklet

A Poem by Ahil Kannan
"

A poem to an anklet.

"
Lying there is an anklet lost in eternity
Stretching itself along space and time
Oh my Jewel of great Cleopatra!
How didst thou travel here from past
Past history of about a millennium
When your fate was given to Anubis
And the dreams of boundless kingdom lost
The Mendesian aroma it carries tells your name
Oh your Majesty! I beg your grace
Please do not capture our world
For this has long been ruled by the pagans
And no God hath landed since The last Prophet
Let it devour on its nerves and flesh
We shall together build a new empire after
With a balcony to watch over our Eden
And our paradise be ever restored on Earth
Dear Anklet fly back to her Highness
And though I canst not come I shall ponder
Over you and your heavenly owner...Fly
Oh fly back in time and tell her to hold
For never shall I let her grow ancient and old
