Spoons, Stirrers, And Straws..by Michael

Spoons, Stirrers, And Straws..by Michael

A Poem by Michael Reisman

Hot soup keeps us warm in winter, while cold drinks keep

Us cool in summer. A spoon in one season, a stirrer and a

Straw in another. The human elements are needed

To complete the cycle. Company to share it with

Makes a season of difference. I met and clicked cold drinks

Shared with that person as we said cheers!

We sipped from the same bowl of soup during the

Following winter and kissed goodnight that evening.

Romance has it's way, no matter what the season.

The bride and groom repeated what was done before,

Now familiar to them in the new seasons of their lives.

Fall and spring find something new but similar to summer and winter.

Human elements found in between spoons, stirrers, and straws...
