Refuge

Refuge

A Poem by Apollos
"

God is a place of comfort in times of suffering.

"

I live from The Resurrection.
I look past imperfections.
I wear as my complexion His perfection.
A Reflection of His conception.

Father, don’t take away this Cup.
Fill it up and I’ll drink up.
Suffering provides my covering.
Helmet of Salvation this mind experiences no buffering.

Rose from the mud to proclaim my Father’s Love Offering.
Forgive them Father for they know not what they do.
Persecuted because they do not have You.
Hated because they first hated You.

Is my body my slave or will I allow it to have me act depraved?
Slave of Righteousness, Your presence is what I crave.
No longer lame.
Pick my mat up and proclaim:

Jesus Christ is The Name!
By no other claim will He be defamed.
He is my Strength! He is my Strong Tower!
He is my Sword! He is my Shield!
He is The Light! He is The Truth!
He is The Vine! He is Divine!

Jesus heal the bruises.
Jesus forgive our accusers.
Jesus unearth our confusion.
Jesus synergize The Church’s fusion.
From His Throne, I have been chosen to be His own!
He is my Refuge and I have not been disowned!

This is deep, thought provoking and filled with sadness and hope at the same time. I love it!
