When you feel uncomfortable about disagreeing with someone.

How can you believe in The Chosen One if I’m not living as a Son?
If I’ve expelled those demons from my room what have I chosen to replace?
Why am I not consumed with His grace?
Why is it tough for you to look me in the face?

Tears for how you’re not counting your years.
Leers for when I express my fears.
Hear what I have to say as I contemplate how to rephrase it.
I want you to cheer for me but we all know I’m not going to get your praises.

I was reflecting on what it takes for someone to change their mind when they are going on a dark path.

there is another way to look at this...i related as far as my relationship with my dad for so many years.
He always seemed to think I had no real direction...and maybe he was right...but in the latter years, his whole attitude changed and I felt that he finally respected me as an adult, making my own way, and doing it well.
