Circles

Circles

A Poem by akarusty
"

I think I've covered this ground before...

"

Circles

Who are you?

Everything; Nothing; Something;

I don’t really know.

Should I even know?

But thoughts are cast aside

To make way for your poison elegance

That jumbles my wires

Into a hallucinogenic of stupid fantasy

In a subtle pain of confusion

I wonder in complexity

Of ecstasy

Unbeknownst to me

Where I wander to.

But this f*****g pointless venture

Ends now.

Who is to blame?

Everyone? Nobody? Somebody else but me?

Perhaps this belongs to you

With the attractive way you are

And the way I just want to meld your face to mine

And let it be just.

My fingers are staying in my pockets

This time.

Damn, I’ve said this countless times before

But still my words are bound in circles

And I’m the one that keeps running

Passing old tread marks dried in blood

With some others still bleeding.
