Our Last Dance

The middle of the dance floor,

Just you and me, the most perfect night, 

Alone, so peaceful like walking down the shore, 

I could dance with you until daylight. 

Make this night last forever,

I never want to leave your side.

I would dance with you all night wherever,

As you lead the way as my guide. 

That was our last dance,

I wish life could've given you another chance. 

Now I dance alone,

Knowing you're still there with me,

It’s hard without my favorite partner, on my own,

Life would be easier with you, oh yes it would be. 

I still remember that smile,

Every time we danced to our song, 

I see you in the clouds every once in a while,

Watching over me, making sure I stay strong.

Our last memory, I will never forget,

Staring into your eyes, so beautiful like a sunset. 

I will always cherish our last memory,

Having you stand by my side,

You were my most prized accessory,

Having you there I had nothing but pride. 

The next day, 

It was the 22nd of May.

Our last moment that I can see,

You lying next to me, my head on your chest,

The most amazing moment, I agree, 

With you I felt safe, I was obsessed. 

I shed a tear and then a million more,

I don’t want to believe this, it cant be real,

My heart is aching it is so sore,

I don't know how to feel. 

Our last dance was nothing but a dream,

You are my other half, we were the best team. 

I visit you everyday, I will always be there,

Dancing next to you to our favorite song, 

I can't see you, but I feel your presence I swear,

We will dance together, ever night, all night long.
