Being (v.)

Being (v.)

A Poem by Jason Henry
"

my efforts after a hiatus of renewal...

"
Be•ing (v.):
A concept once forlorn,
Of unattainable loft,
And a triumph too tall.
But has always been the missing peace.

Christ unconscious -
This is what we all are;
As we sift aimlessly
Through fluid and film
Desparate to find inner piece,
Outside.

and inner piece will not be found outside...it is found inside...we do sift aimlessly...unconscious..

we need to wake up...and we will learn...just to "be"---and find that comforting..

i am riveted by your writing style and strong thematic presence.

An exceptionally well-written piece of faith. Well done. Yes we are all divine; I believe.

thank you for your kind words
Oh, wow, just stumbled upon this and I think it's wonderful. Really singular but more complex than the first glance, really enjoyed thinking over this one. Nice cadence, this the first part of the second stanza could be beefed up and expanded upon

finding our inner peace on the outside...this is kind of ironic. That is the answer to our karma I think...peace comes from within...not from a man in Rome.

submission is supposed to be the way to triumph . . . I'll let you know when I get there

I love the combination of 'inner piece'

:)
