My Home

My Home

A Poem by alexa.garrison

My home is many things,
A place I cry,
A place I scream,
A place I find refuge,
A place where I am alone.

No one wonders why
I like to be alone in my home.
I like to be alone to feel something,
For when there are people I feel anxious
I don't like others roaming about
While I am feeling nothing but left out.

My home is where I go to leave this world
When everything is in turmoil
When I can't cope with other aspects of life,
And when I just need my alone time.

Home is refuge,
Home is war,
Home is happiness,
Home is anger,
Home is depression,
Home is crazy,
Home is love..

I can relate to this piece, sometimes I struggle being around others too and I am far more comfortable being in my own bubble. Social anxiety is a hard one to bare. I'm glad you have a place you can be to feel safe.
"For when there are people I feel anxious
I don't like others roaming about
While I am feeling nothing but left out."

I liked these lines a lot.
