If only she

If only she

A Poem by ARLorenz
"

Written by the trainstation

"

Her skirt

Shockingly short

For the office

Her top

Too see-through

For her age

Her nose

Pitifully crooked

Don’t you agree

If only she were a bit different

we would have an easier time

packaging some manufactured respect

to sell her.

I'm not sure about the "don't you agree" line, for everything else seems a little more to the point and being grand in doing so, but that one line just calls attention to itself despite adding to the theme and message. but that's just my opinion. The poem itself is brilliant! Short and powerful. Well done!

-- ah... yes... the prevalence of patriarchy... how can it be ignored...?

-- very well portrayed... i like the expression "packaging manufactured respect"...

About
I'm unsure how to construct this About Me section. What do you want to know? I write about myself in an exaggerated fashion. This keeps me honest and critical. I don't read poems much but that'.. more..
