My Favorite Rain

My Favorite Rain

A Poem by Alex Zynder

My favorite kind of rain
Fell down on me today

It's smaller than a sprinkle
Lighter than a lady bug
You can't even see it
'til it collect's on your window

It's hails little brother
Snow's second cousin, twice removed
it'll never cause a wreck
 Or close down a school

Oh but that little sprinkle
With its every tiny drop
I'll squint my eyes and smile
 Hoping the tingle doesn't stop

You paint surrealism with your words. And the image is stunning.

Oh but that little sprinkle
With its every tiny drop
I'll squint my eyes and smile
Hoping the tingle doesn't stop

Gorgeous!

Rain on. Never heard anyone describe a particular kind of rain before...must be raining in your neck of the woods recently, cuz you cornered the market on it. great writing.
