Loose Ends

it wasn't supposed to end like this
with so many hanging syllables around certain

random questions
you know what I mean,
the ones with multiple answers
and we don't even have one
never accepting, 
only to find out it never was

so, where do we start or have we lost the beginning
trapped in a maze of unfettered steps,
right here at the starting gate
although it's been years now
and no one, but no one dares

and me
here I am, still anticipating
for what, exactly
wondering at times, 

if I've lost the ability to see

while

stuck in this canundrum
paradoxical dilemma,
trapped in a loop
that never returns ...

I had to read this twice. It gave my mind a workout. But that's a good thing, though. It was a smooth flow, and a fresh idea. And I like how the stanzas syncopate the closer one gets to the end of the poem.
