Silence's Soul

Silence's Soul

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Escaping from yourself

"
There is a silence that escapes me,
like an old friend
enchanting me with lilacs,
scaring my wits on horror's horizon.
Feeling a little revenge
I muster my lies in neat rows,
Big ones, little ones, middles ones,
I sneak around my own silence,
lick my chops,
dive into the emptiness of sounds
lasting a moment.
We laugh coming up from the noise of our souls
singing like the son-of-a-b*****s we are.

oh i like this...silence is enchanting, but the fairy tale ends when i open my mouth...nothing but lies....and emptiness....

no happy endings.
