Cupid's Reach

Cupid's Reach

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

touched by a myth

"

Cupid’s Reach

she felt a daze hit the core of her imagination

the smell of juniper, lemon and dandelion

blended across her olfactory skyline

the drunk of nature captured her bosom

idyllic muses crossed the mind’s antipode

her new consciousness delighted and frightened

a potpourri of feelings, sensations and sights

kept her toes free & unbalanced.

what was going on? she queried herself.

Cupid’s reach stood in the midst of her womanhood.

"Cupid, draw back your bow, and let your arrow flow, straight to my lover's heart, for me"

those myths do sneak up on us.
