The Greeting

The Greeting

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

hello al, it's jackson

"

The Greeting

Four paws in a stillness of hello
Eyes gather round love's familiar stare
Jackson rises to meet the man
The man he knows in the dream of home
A good dog of love, his pleased master in praise,
The greeting shared like a prayer of each day
A wrinkle of smiles, laughter abounds,
A simple pure ness filled with living now
