Like a Child Born

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz

screams!

Like a Child Born

The plain rips a starkness of beauty
across your horizon
Dry, cold air meets your bundled body
The air bleeds a silence of glory right out of your imagination
It's morning and a cold December visits consciousness

Somehow you wonder how you see it all
How it feels as it's crosses the boundary of understanding
Your steps arrive in one moment at a time
There is no lie here
The silence roars like a child born!

Odd thought comes with this, being 7 years old, my older sister and I... sneaking down stairs when my younger sister was born at home. First the doctor, we were born at home ,then, mom, then the wild babies cry. We even got to hold her. Last 2 sisters born in a hospital. Valentine
