In Arms of Forever

In Arms of Forever

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz

In Arms of Forever

Had 1A meant something of cannon fodder
As American arms gather my soul
Rock me, rock me America into the soil
Say the fight will last forever
The inhale alive
The exhale meandering in death's pool
Oh God is planetary symmetry only a dream
Okay.............. okay ..............
I'm the long stare in search of
Oblivion's goal

Vietnam....it shaped our generation. It took too many of my friends. Some came home, but their personalities were unrecognizable. Your emotions come through loud and clear in this one....1 A was a scary designation. Oblivion....are we headed there with all that is happening in our world? Al, you made me think. Lydi**
