On a Journey through the Self

On a Journey through the Self

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

me?

"

On a Journey through the Self

In the signature of his smile he paused
The reoccurrence of frowns had captured the moment
In the long history of depression
Rage, drunkenness, the sad light of darkness all took hold
He bent in the knees, felt a teardrop of soul shaking his limbs
There he was in some far away dance of hope
climbing his arms to the sky embracing the stars of his heavens.
