Democracy in need of Grace

Files of the afterlife warned me of you coming

Uneducated disease smarter than MD, F.A.C.E.

Medical Science lacking the “Vitality of Wonder”

he takes his pills, takes his shot,

wonders how this all came about

Vietnam blunders, a lost war on record,

thousands dead without a Bird of Thunder

Men lie in a unusual space

democracy needs some huge grace!

Yes, how many moral, ethical, emotional, physical insults can democracy withstand? Eloquent treatment of the harsh reality of one survivor of war. Just one among many, many of those who give of themselves selflessly, like the 911 responders who fall ill, and yet are granted no help. You importantly describe the helplessness of an Agent Orange victim to be able to get medical treatment. This is abomination. “Democracy in need of Grace”- so resonant and true. You give the victims a voice. Bravo Alfred.

Thanks Jacob!

Imagine a government giving you diabetes via agent orange and 2 doctors preventing you from a cure for the disease. Gleevec has shown promise for healing it.

it does need some...and those who fought for it...we need to appreciate and thank every day...they are still living with the scars of body and mind.
