Run

Run

A Poem by Allie A
"

Somewhat based on a true experience...

"
How can you run? How can you escape
When you have the wrong shoes
And you ran to the wrong direction?
You wished to get out, but you can't
You want to forget him but the memories stay
You keep remembering the times you had
With him on your side
These memories can't be erased
It can't fade or die

It would have been easy
To let go and forget
The days that you loved him
But wait, were you always with him?
No, he wants someone else
He doesn't want you at all
When you're around, he won't smile for long

You should have used the right shoes
You would have ran away from him
But you didn't
He ran to the girl he loved
And you fell on the ground, starting to cry
You failed and asked for help
But soon you'll prove
You don't need him anymore
You will run far, far away
