The Body and Soul

The Body and Soul

A Poem by Sarah Roehrig
"

A simple, spirtual piece. Enjoy

"
They say the soul never dies,
but with a new day comes many new lies

One moment you were speaking, so pure and true-
The next you are fighting, all that is missing within you

No life is not easy, and some change they say, may find its way
Its strange to feel funny in a world of fire
Its numbing to feel pain in a world of desire

How much can my body take,
how many words can my voice create

If all we are is a vibrant soul, there is only one thing we can take when we go
Do not forget the places that have kept you from all you may know
Inside each vessel, is a great energy that will always flow
