Time has never been our friend,

Neither has it been our enemy,

You have always been where I am

But like a shadow you are always out of reach

I love you like a waterfall,

Though you forever stand tall

And you are the water that never falls

Our relationship has hit that wall

And our wall is up above

And the kisses can only be blown skyward up

I reach, can't touch the beautiful blue

And you disappear into night as it cools

I sit and stare at the blazing stars

Thinking of what it could have been of us

If you were next to me

Would you be more than a fantasy?

That would be fun to see

But we've already been,

Inside a dream and back to real

And we are forever apart

You are always in my art

Always dancing with the moon and stars

And the sun to but never the man in the dark looking for love.
