THOUGHT WAVES

THOUGHT WAVES

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I lie in bed,
My mind at rest
To be swept by dreams;
I ride their crest.
While thoughts are interpreted
As answers are sought
From the day's proceedings,
Like a net their caught.
But once awake
Some dreams are lost;
Some problems are solved,
Lack of sleep the cost.
And some dreams return
To be explored again;
Some on the back burner
Waiting for their turn to begin.
