In the deep slumber of sleep.

In the deep slumber of sleep.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The overbearing of being
placed one's head
upon the pillow
to slumber deeply
where thoughts are put
to hard labour.
Hi Ho Hi Ho it's off
to sleep we go
to work in the dream factory.
Where within the mind's walls
the aerial bombardment
of repetitious thoughts begin
breaking the spirit of the night,
a ransacked mind
was left in the morning.
