A leap of dire consequences.

A leap of dire consequences.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I can jump puddles he said
a mind pondering in dressage
on his next move on life’s
leaps and bounds,
but without a mirror
dressed for every occasion
he was not told of the hurdles.
An egg left broken
on the pavement
turned out to be
Humpty Dumpty
who couldn’t jump puddles.
