Must make that tea!

The kettles boiling

let's make that tea,

but the dishes are dirty,

and looking out the window,

the lawns need mowing,

the paths need sweeping,

leaves need composting.

The kettles boiled

must make that tea;

how the weeds are growing,

that branch needs pruning,

the fence needs mending,

what shall we have for dinner?

The kettles cold,

must make some tea,

must read the paper,

my back is sore,

look at the time -

where has the day gone?

What's for dinner?

What do I feel like?

Must make that tea,

the kettles boiled

before it gets cold.

The phone is ringing

who can that be?

The washing has finished,

there's a knock at the door,

the dog is barking,

the kettles boiled

I must make that tea!

So many distractions

where to start,

now what was it 

I had to do?

Must hang out the washing.

Laughing here, re-reading and understanding, tho wlll take coffee never tea. Suggest you get all the chores done first thing or asap then, use time as it should be - living life and thus, use time wisely whether it be for self or darlings dear. Am with Pat below, take your honey in any form and enjoy it!

dear Andrew... the days are restful, but it leaves no time
for chores... so we tuck in time to do the necessary with
the Tea boiling. A bit of honey and an overstuffed chair
and a Nap might be what the doctor ordered. truly, Pat

Chores, chores and chores. We tend to focus on many things but never finish the ones at hand. So necessary for our well being and upkeep. That is where the servants come in Emperor Mitchell. Hehehe
