Rusty and blue.

Rusty and blue.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

There's rust in your eyes
that once shined true
you're no longer the horizon
in your autumn blue.
I see you falling
while the moon appears
my thoughts are calling
where you disappear.
The lighthouse at the edge
of the sea
watches your shadow
move above water
following the moonlight
over the horizon.
Were you ever near?
I stand in silence
a tear in my eye
the sea is still.
