What’s the point!

What’s the point!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

At what point
did you not
get the point?
When I could not
see the point of view
your Honour.
And yet you were
trying to make a point
were you not?
Yes! My point was
in the distance, your Honour.
All seems rather pointless!
Don’t you think?
Yes, your Honour...
unless the point is sharpened.
Oh! Get to the point!
The point of no return?
No! How many points
are there?
Well! There’s behind point,
silly point, blue point,
black point, and a point
to make, of course! Your Honour.
Yes! You’re made your point.
Case dismissed.

When I think about the current public discourse being so agitated & pointless, your poem sums up the vision nicely. Your setting being in front of a judge adds to the current ambiance --> everyone is judging everyone else. We are stuck in pointless culture wars where everyone is trying to make their point but nobody is getting it *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie

Thank you Gene.
It looks like someone had a good lawyer. All facets were examined of said point, now he doesn't land in the county joint.
