It’s a mad, mad world in the artistic mind of never enough.

It’s a mad, mad world in the artistic mind of never enough.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Thoughts with no names
entertain the circus mind
where ideas ride
the carousel of
the cranial ring
where thoughts
walk the high wire
while others juggle
and the clowns
laugh at the mistakes
one makes on a meal ticket.
Yes, come and see the show
through your eyes
let the kaleidoscope colours
turn your world upside down
and see the fire eater
turn your thoughts into ashes
as Salvador Dali paints
your portrait like
never before!
It’s all above board
and next have your
caricature thoughts read
from your future.
Looking into the crystal ball
and drawing out of the magician’s hat
a biblical pray for hope
and resurrection.
Yes see the show
of carnival delights
and improve your carnal knowledge
in Caligula returns.

There are a number of top-notch poets at the cafe (you being one) who have so much imagination, I feel as if mine must've been ground away, little by little. I envy those poets (like in this poem) who can let loose a river of disjointed & yet related sentiments so "out there" as if bopping from star to star while letting the stardust trickle down onto the page (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

dear Andrew... this reminds me of one of my favorite Songs--
"Send in the Clowns". "Isn't it rich? Are we a pair? Me here at last on the ground,
you in mid-air, Where are the Clowns?" Your Mind is a whirl Wind of
Carousel Rides and Kaleidoscope colours. To me... that is a Good Thing.
tenderly, Pat

A great song Pat, thanks for reading.
let me do some drugs and I'll come back to this one...ha ha.
It has me in a Caligula state of mind...i find often that my thoughts are just caricatures of themselves.
that's all they are.
