Poetic injustice! That’s me!

Poetic injustice! That’s me!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

If only I had
a metre maid
to correct my lines,
then I wouldn’t be
typecast as a poet
committing crimes.
The Poet villain.

Poet villains live outside the lines
and if we call that crimes
then they are crimes of a passionate voice
one who doesn't write by choice
but by the need
to poetically bleed.

I wonder if "typed cast" is (1) the way you blokes say it, down under . . . (2) an intentional error to illustrate your ineptitude . . . (3) an honest-to-goodness crime. I admire your efforts to craft an extended metaphor, but I'm afraid this ditty is tweakin' (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
