In mind’s closet.

In mind’s closet.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

We seek them here,
we seek them there,
we seek them everywhere.
Now where did
I put those
damn car keys.

One can accept
fate when one
has control.

Since I haven't driven in a few years, this does not resonate, but if it were about gardening tools, I could very much relate. I have to put my trowel in the same dirt bucket every time or I'll never find it among the masses of pots I might've been digging in! *wink! wink!*

I’m the same with tools from the shed as well as gardening tools. Lol
And as the saying goes - nothing is in control, so why worry - or something like that. Actually a strong reminder for myself sometimes lol Great use of except - thought provoking, jolts the logic as one reads this piece, all else is expected but that which is "except" - well, what can one do...always a pleasure to read your writing Andrew :)

LOL I meant accept, another one of my master typos that has plagued my writing. :(
