Together Forever

Talking to him,

Right before bed,

Blush-colored cheeks,

Thoughts in my head.

 

Could life be better?

I don't think so.

Any needed changes?

My answer is no.

 

I'm truly happy in life,

And completely in love,

Everyday I thank God,

For my gift from above.

 

He's everything to me,

My life and my world,

My complete happiness,

I'll always be his girl.

 

We're happily in love,

But no one else knows,

So people still flirt,

And anything goes...

 

Sometimes I don't like it,

But it's better this way,

People won't start drama,

And together we can stay.

 

We've been through lots,

But we're stronger now,

We'll be together forever,

I know we will, some how...

This poem is exquisitely beautiful! I love the way you've described the wonderful feeling that floods you when you are in love :)
The rhyming scheme elevates this poem and makes it stand out as a ringing memory in the reader's mind.
The last stanza was great, it concluded the poem very well. Keep writing!

How darling and fresh is it to read a poem that anybody on this site can relate to when feeling a love that does not compete with cliques or popularity? It's from the heart, gorgeous, and it only saddens a bit to see that you are not able to have what you want out in the open. I would HOPE he sees this the same way you have written about him. This is so sweet! I remember feeling this way just a few months ago... but his "forever" was cut much shorter than mine :( Even if you don't stay in an actual relationship forever, these sorts of people don't ever leave you, hun. It really is better this way :)
