Root of Heart

Root of Heart

A Poem by Amaya Sullivan
"

A simple poem. Personally, it represents the beginning of love and the regret of not pursuing it. It may mean something different to you. Tell me what you think it means.

"
It may be understandable to some,
It might be unfair to others,
I don't care.

The time when I was young,
A promise becomes undone.

Although I search with little clue,
I still don't know what to do.
Bury it deep within I thought,
But I still haven't forgot.

A root lies within my heart.

It may be written completely wrong, but it's my thoughts. I'm not looking for critiques or anything or grammar problems. I just wanted to share my attempt of producing a poem.

I agree with what you stated in the second stanza. Youth is the phase of making promises, keeping them, and breaking them later... I am guilty of that. I am often indecisive and somewhat impulsive when it comes to 'promising' something. It's like having firm resolutions at night and watching them melt in the morning. Happens a lot.
