nothing left

nothing left

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

Lost love

"

I can’t sleep

and eating hurts me

I am so tired

of this lonely dance

you spit and yell

and bruise me

and tell me it is

all my fault

my soul is empty

heart full

of sadness

you want me to

believe I brought this

all on me

maybe I did

so if I did

there is nothing left to save

there is nothing left to say

there is nothing left to salvage

Thanks. I appreciate that.
You pen the words I long to say. I hold them deep within because I've already said too much. My words count against me anyhow, only serving to make the heart ache dig itself a little deeper.

Truly a sad piece, one whose final lines are all too often the end of the almost fairy tale. More and more I come to doubt the existence of "True Love"; I who was always such a stalwart believer.

Well written as always.

Be at ease. My slide into cynicism is not your doing.
Wow. You have spoken these words as if from my very soul. Fantastic, KL!

Thanks. I do feel that about you. We tread on parallel lines. Unfortunate ones.
A truly emotionally charged & emotionally draining read. That is not a criticism by the way, merely a statement of fact. Very good in my book.... N

In this short poem you are doing a great job in portraying sadness, loss and despair in such depth. It may hurt like hell but I'm told it does get better. Thanks.

Raw and honest emotions splashed on the page! When a relationship dies, there is never one reason...never one person at fault. Sure, some do not want to accept the blame, but that does not change the facts. Strong poetry....well written. lydi**

Painfully honest in presentation...
Never settle for less....
I hope this is a past tense experience.

Well Done
