just throwing it into the pot

It came kicking and screaming
into the light
and you continue to fight
it
thinking
it
will hide
back in the dark
slinking creature
obedient
stuff her back
in the box
but d****t she
just won't listen
anymore
make her heart pound
taste her fear
still
it
refuses to stay where
you want
it
and just so you
know when you lie
down at night
when you aren't looking
she just might
bite.

What I love about your writing is the many aspects to it...this could mean so many things...interesting use of the heart held within...will she fight back or will she succumb...let shadows play in the light or not...each line is a poem and thought unto itself KL, awesome! x
