dead horses

dead horses

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

exactly what it is

"
rotting flesh
falls off the
bone
maggots smiling
such a treat
put it
in front of
me
"eat eat"
but don't
beat it,
not again,
please
the horse
is dead!
along
with your broken
promises
you keep
serving up
to me.

Whoa, this is raw and painful. I love how you kept you're pain and anger all the way through. Clever piece KL.

Yeah, this one is a little fresh, dead flesh aside, thanks for your checking me out.
Another descriptive poem using a very meaty metaphor to articulate the emptiness of your relationship.
