first born

first born

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

some sap for you

"
You will
always be
the first,
my baby,
my girl,

but more than
that you
are you're a
curly haired
monster with
a devlish grin -

"Who me?"
clever one
fools them all
but me ...

I'm mama
remember
and know
your little
tricks
cause
they're
embedded in
my DNA  -
as is your larger
than average
vocabulary
and your
amazing
spark -

but most
important,
you are
my heart.

thank you so much :)
Moms eh? I heard they are all magic and know spells and potions and can read our minds and know when we are sad, even though we pretend everything's fine. And how the flip do they always know what I really wanted for dinner and know things fit just by looking at them.
Shh, keep it secret, but Moms are magick :)

thanks so much:)
Kids always reckon they know better; how could they not with so little experience. Important it is indeed to show then the way.

Loved this.

Thank you I appreciate it.
Getting clearer. The first section:
You will always
the first
my baby
my girl,

Perhaps:
You will always be
the first
my baby
my girl,

An interesting piece but the words and the picture threw me. I read it before looking at the photo and saw it as a mother looking at her eldest son, not the first of the litter!
