Big Juicy Fish

Big Juicy Fish

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

for Madalyn

"
A hungry cat
is a dangerous thing

not a mouse in the house
nor a crumb in the dish
she left like that
to find her fondest wish
down by the river
she patiently waited,
gorged on three minnows;
her belly remained unsated,
so the end of her tail
she cleverly baited,
the BIG JUICY FISH
was doomed from the start

A hungry cat
is a dangerous thing

when she's after your heart.

Cute poem! I love the flow and rhythm of the poem as well as the hungry cat.

Thank you so much.
Give a man a fish he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish he'll get shitfaced and drive his boat into a dock

Thanks for stopping by. You nearly always make me smile:)
Curiosity could kill but voraciousness could make everyone an endangered species. By statistics women outnumber men 5 is to 1 . So do you think there's an inherent logic why they should be on the offensive ?

If I knew that I wouldn't be where I am.
Those hungry cats can be dangerous. Thank you for sharing the excellent and fun poem to read.

thanks so much for stopping by. wasn't exactly a real fishing story, but ...
very nice allegory...

the little appetizers don't matter when she is after your heart...that is the big prize.

Very clever and witty! Dangle the bait in front of him and he'll take it. Very nicely done!!
