would you like one lump or two?

would you like one lump or two?

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

You knew it would come back around sometime ...

"

I like my dose of vitriol hot -- straight up, no sugar, like coffee, with a drop of mean.

----------------------------------------------

The wrong angle

Obtuse.

The perfect word

To describe

You.

---------------------------------

the right fit

I opened up the closet,

I saw it hanging there

I tossed it aside.

Damned skeleton was

Rotten anyway,

And it’s at least

two sizes too big

Since I lost that

250 pound albatross.

-----------------------------------

they're playing your song

The tune that played in your head?

The clown one, you used to mock me?

How’s it sound now?

With no ears to listen but yours?

"just watch me walk away"... and in this case, a wee bit of Skeleton smashing to clear the way... first time I've heard Lorrie Morgan and this song, but your poem is even more feisty in my opinion... KL, you do have a way with er... handling "obtuse".. ha!!! did I say I enjoyed your poem.. hell yess

You are very welcome!
You sure socked it to 'em but the thing is, how long did you put up with a pain like that before taking the necessary remedial action ?

An imaginative, witty piece of corrective therapy !

Funny that, somebody just called me obtuse...hmmm. Nope you never sugar coat it, that's my favorite part about your skeletons and telling songs....!

Random notes jotted down, unified into one theme. The choice of Lorrie Morgan has impressed me mightily!

Good!!!!!!
I like Lorrie. One of the best voices. I like the tale and the good ending. Sometimes we learn too late. We held something good and lost it. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry. A lesson in your words if you wanted to find it.
