the lines of life

the lines of life

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

another offering from my seven year old

"
Sometimes,
the lines
of life
can be messy,
but you don't
have to feel
bad,
because it is okay
to mess up
once in a while.

Wise words for a seven year old! Wouldn't life be boring if we all colored inside the lines!

what a great job!... that is the kind of attitude that lets your beautiful spirit shine and will take you far in life.. never be afraid to color outside those lines, make a mess, and be yourself no matter what sweet princess.. (mommy too).. I really liked this.. you did so good:)

Thanks so much. I appreciate it and so does she.
Everyone messes up. I raised my children with the idea that I was the Queen of spills and broken dishes. So, if they made a mess, it was ok. They got that gene from me. That just made them the princess and princess of spills and broken dishes...ha-ha! This is a beautiful poem, little one! Great job!

Thank you, I know she will appreciate it.
It appears the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, tell her this is well written, and insightful.

She gets to read all her comments, thank you. :)
This is touching I do too have the pleasure of listening to the wisdom of the child although not for very long and sometimes as it is in here the innate wisdom outpours such great dialogue. Not sure who sings this but I hear it on the radio a lot "It's OK not to be OK".

My daughter sings it.

Thankyou

I know you always review her poetry. Thank you.
KL, your daughter is, a lot smarter than most adults, I know. I wish my parents had learned this lesson, before their constant comparing me, to my cousins and younger brother. Can you give your daughter, a hug of thanks, from me, please?
