senryus in the snowdrift

senryus in the snowdrift

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

in the banks

"

brushing off the flakes
cold and wet they leave a stain
like you it won't last

The crystals stacked high
One by one they form a drift
Inside thoughts of you

Stuck in a snow bank
bones beneath the fluffy white
There now until spring

I know. I'm across the lake from you. It is gone here too. It will be back.
This is the cold that warms through transformation as this cold unites it brings togetherness and invites to understand that we are all in the same boat.

Way to transform the nature of cold

Thankyou
