A man kills 4 members of one family drunk driving, what punishment fits the crime?

poor little rich boy
taking your first ride
on the family's private jet --
hey bartender, pour me
another for the road
even though that'll make
me twice the legal load.

no one's out on a
Sunny Sunday are they?
except a grandpa plus three --
and just like that you
take out a whole family
and everything those
children could ever be.

poor little rich boy
out on bail
waiting to find out
how many years in jail
add up to justice
for a family who lost
their future and their past

one year,
two years
three years, or ten --
no amount
of your suffering
can make them
whole again

the regular sentence for drunk driving without causing death is up to 5 years. He took 4 lives and that is what his attorney is asking for. With good behaviour he'd be out in 1/3 of that, and eligible to get his licence back. And what is high insurance to a rich person? Nothing. How on earth is that even close to compensating this family. Giving his share of money to the family he destroyed and throwing him out on the street to fend for himself might be just. Canada needs consecutive sentencing. Max sentence for each life.

yes, this is so absurd...what money can buy....and how some think they are insulated because of it and that nothing bad can happen...no punishment is bad enough...

Thanks. About the closest I could come to restorative justice would be letting the woman who lost hers have any children he has -- but waiting until they are the ages she lost them at so he can know a taste of what she felt.
