call my name

call my name

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

what can I say

"
I heard you
call my name
in your sleep.

I tried to
reassure you
but you were
in too deep.

don't worry baby
I won't leave you
like the dream me
does.

that girl
is a figment
of your past
realization.

wow! ..for me this is like a psychological dream nightmare ... nothing so terrifying as being in too deep and insecure (especially for men) ... oh my my my my! ... sheesh! last verse kills me ... how complicatedly convoluted we can make things .. ieeeeeeeeeyiyiiyiyi! ;} what a lot you have packed into this very precise surgical cut ...

i tripped over "like the dream me does"

wanted to read it "like the dream does me"

her dream is gone, the girl she was is gone, and he is reaching out in his dreams for what she used to be..

but she decides to let his reality be different from hers...at least for the moment...until she figures out how to really wake him up.
